I'M BAACCKKK!

Finally! I feel like i've been away forever! And man! Have I got a story for y'all! It has truly been an eventful past few days. So as some of you know, I was leaving on Thursday to go to the Jason Aldean concert. My cousins and I were so excited. We dressed in our best country attire (cowboy hats and plaid) and headed on our way. On the news before we left, there was like a 50% chance of rain, but we didn't pay any mind. When we got to the amphitheater at The Wharf there were people flooding in, and Thompson Square was performing. Most of the amphitheater was filled with people. We found our seats and sat down, ready to enjoy the show!! Time for a picture:

Now the amphitheater is outdoors (if you didn't realize). It's just like giant sets of metal bleachers. So back to the story. After Thompson Square performed, Chris Young came out to perform. The whole time he was performing there was lightning in the distance. It wasn't scary really, it just made for a cool show. He performed three songs and it started drizzling a little bit. Here's a picture of him:

Sorry for the crappy picture. After his third performance, a radio host that had previously been pumping up the crowd, came out and told everyone to 'please exit the amphitheater until the band of weather passes through' and to hold on to your tickets because once it passes through we'd all have to re-enter with our tickets. Approximately 30 seconds after he said this, rain just started POURING down. Like, POURING. Nobody even had the chance to get out of the amphitheater yet. So people started running down the bleachers to get out. Here comes the funny part. This girl that was a couple rows behind us came running down in her cowboy boots and slipped in front of us. She was wearing a little dress and NO underwear. She managed to get wedged in between to of the rows and flail around until her friend came to help her up. It was priceless...and disgusting. Hahah. So by time we even made our way out of the amphitheater we were already completely soaked. There was not a dry spot on us. BUT, the true fans that we are, we stood in the pouring rain and lightning (that never let up) for about an hour and a half. Just hoping that it would stop. Unfortunately, it never did. They ended up cancelling the concert all together. We  had to leave without even seeing Jason Aldean's beautiful face! Luckily they rescheduled the concert for the end of September. I don't have any pictures of us soaking wet because I had my camera in my aunt's back pack so that it wouldn't get ruined. But my uncle took a picture of us on his phone. Once he sends it to me i'll post it. But I did take a picture of myself when we got back into the car:

Here is an article about the whole ordeal that CMT posted :

It was a huge fiasco! I just hope that nothing will go wrong in September when we go back to see him! And if something DOES happen, then maybe we just aren't meant to see Jason Aldean!

On a brighter note, when I got home I had nail mail!! I ordered 5 polishes from Beauty Joint. They were KLEANCOLOR polishes because I hadn't been able to find them anywhere. It only took them three days to get here which is why I was so surprised and excited!

L to R: Chunky Holo Clover, Shooting Star, Chunky Silver, Firework, and City Never Sleeps

I know they're all glitters but I just couldn't help myself! They're so beautiful and this picture just doesn't do them justice.

Sorry for such a long post!! I promise to be back on track tomorrow with a post about my polished nails!

Don't Mess With OPI

Hey y'all! This is just going to be a quick post because i'm busy packing for my short trip, plus I still have to take a shower and do all that girly stuff! I'm going see Jason Aldean! So I won't be posting again until Saturday! I'll miss you guys!!

This is what i'm wearing to the concert-simply because it matches my outfit (sort of). It isn't one of my favorite colors but it's so different. It's kind of growing on me. Plus, it was given to me twice by accident. So I have two bottles! I'm saving one for a future giveaway! This is Don't Mess With OPI from the Texas Collection.

Also, my cousins called me last night asking if I could make a 'house call'. Haha. I ran over with a box of my polishes. It was pretty late and we didn't finish up until after 10!  But I have pictures of their nails.

This is my cousin Sophia's nails in My Private Jet by OPI. And let me just tell you! There was no way to capture it's beautifulness (not a word, lol.) It almost looks brown in this picture but there is so much more too it! I can't wait to wear this on my own nails.

This is my cousin Chelsea's nails in Avalanche by China Glaze. It's a gorgeous purple-y metallic.

Both of their hands. Chelsea on top, Sophia's on bottom.

Sorry for such a short post! I didn't really get to do much describing! Let me know if you like any of these colors!

XOXO

Lemons and Oranges?

Let me just start off by saying-i'm so sorry for this crappy manicure! LOL. I don't really know what I was going for here? It's pretty obnoxious and that's why i'm apologizing in advance! Also let me just say..I hate neons. Not on everyone. Just on me. I think they look cute and summery on other people though, and I have a bunch because I always think they look cute in the bottle, and when I go to try them i'm like "Oh my gosh, this is horrible." Plus, once I get finished painting them I think they look perfect and I go outside and there is like neon polish all over my cuticles and around my nails that you can't see in indoor light! So when I went to paint my nails yesterday I thought i'd try out one of my neons since I never wear them, and it IS summer which is like the only time to pull a neon off. I went for Neon Yellow from Forever 21 and immediately regretted it. The application was thick and streaky. Part of the reason it had to be so thick was because I had to cover up the streaking. So once I finished painting my nails Neon Yellow, I thought to myself "What could make this uglier?" haha not really, but like I stated at the beginning of this post-I don't know WHAT I was thinking. So I then proceeded by grabbing Zoya's Rica (which is a gorgeous color by itself!) and adding orangy tips. This didn't save the manicure by any means, I don't think there was anything that could have! Without any more delay, i'll just post the pictures.

This is without a top coat.

name shot

finished product with top coat-uggh!
I think this is the shortest time i've ever kept a color on my nails. I took it off this morning. I just couldn't stand looking at them anymore!

On a brighter note(hahaha), i'm going see JASON ALDEAN on Thursday!!! Yaaaay! I LOVE me some Jason Aldean. I'm going with my second family pretty much. My aunt and uncle and their three daughters. One of them being 'Gurl' who is my age. I mentioned her in my very first post. Anyways! I'm trying to figure out what color polish I should wear to the concert. I don't even know what i'm wearing as far as clothes go right now though, but I do know that i'm sporting my cowboy hat!!

One last thing that I find hilarious!! This morning, my 'little' brother (he's 18 months younger than I am but towers over me!) broke off one of the fan blades from his fan. Hahaha. He said he turned the fan off but it "wasn't stopping fast enough" so he stuck his hand up there to stop it!! Thank God he didn't lose his whole hand! Instead he just broke up one of the blades. Isn't that funny?! Haha.

So isn't that manicure just hideous? Is there anyone else out there that CAN'T pull off a neon? Or who just prefers not to wear a neon? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a better brand to use with better neons that aren't so thick and goopy? Please shed some light on my current situation! Lol.

XOXO
